Punctuation একটি system যা একজন reader কে writer কিভাবে বাক্যটি সাজিয়েছেন তা সম্পর্কে ধারণা দেয়। আমরা কথা বলার সময় বিভিন্ন জায়গায় বিভিন্ন expressions এবং pause ব্যবহার করি যাতে শ্রোতা খুব সহজে আমাদের মনের ভাব বুঝতে পারে। Written language এ punctuations সেই pause এবং expressions প্রকাশ করে reader এর কাছে। Punctuations বাক্যকে reader এর কাছে সুস্পষ্ট করে। Punctuations are the system of signs and symbols that show a reader how a sentence is organized and constructed, where to pause and where to stop, how to read and how to write a sentence. These are used to make sense and clarity in sentences.
